Punjab Government Appoints Prof. Dr. Syeda Shahida Batool as Vice Chancellor of Women University Multan
The Government of Punjab’s Higher Education Department has appointed Prof. Dr. Syeda Shahida Batool as the new Vice Chancellor of Women University Multan for a period of four years with immediate effect. According to an official notification issued by the Higher Education Department on May 20, 2026, the appointment was made by the Governor/Chancellor under Section 11(6) read with Section 9(5) of the Women University Multan Act 2010. The decision follows recommendations submitted by the Search Committee constituted by the department. Prof. Dr. Syeda Shahida Batool is currently serving as Professor in the Psychology Department at Government College University Lahore. She is recognized for her academic contributions and leadership in higher education.
